The River Minija lower reaches Regatta
The River Minija lower reaches Regatta – the most recent and the most attractive event along the River Minija and the Curonian Lagoon, which is organized by Gargždai Tourism Information Center and Klaipėda District Municipality. Regatta takes place in July. The participants compete in the quest for Klaipėda District Mayor’s Cup.
Organizers of Regatta hope that it will help to expand water tourism along the lower reaches of the River Minija, to gather together professional rowers and water tourism fans from Klaipėda and other regions of Lithuania. Also, this is a way of promoting eco tourism.
